Frequently asked questions

What is required for the Video Audition?

Please send a solo video that highlights your strengths as a dancer including multiple styles if possible. The submission should be no more than 2 minutes in length and can be a solo from a previous performance or it can be center work from ballet class. Our focus is to see you move in the space and to determine your technical ability.We suggest uploading a video to youtube or vimeo and copying the link to the registration form. If a password is needed be sure to include the password as well.

If accepted into one intensive am I accepted to all?

The Video auditions are for the season that you are applying for. Yes, if accepted to NYC Summer intensive you will also be able to attend our LA intensive without re-applying. Although you will have to re-apply for the Winter Intensive and always have to apply to the Pre-Pro.

What attire is required at the intensive?

Please ensure hair is secured away from the face.
Form fitting clothes: Leotards (Any color or any style)
Tights: black and skin tone (no pink please)
Ballet Slippers: skin toned or black (for men)
Pointe shoes: Skin tone is preferred
*Legging and dance shorts are allowed
*No crop tops

What is the Pre-Pro Program?

COMPLEXIONS DANCE ACADEMY PRE – PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM is a 4 week rigorous and intense TRAINING PROGRAM that provides hands on guidance, and mentorship to advanced level dancers in preparation for a performing career in dance. CCB’S PRE – PRO PROGRAM is an immersive experience that will focus on Technical Efﬁciency, Artistic Expression, and Performance. Students will take technique class in both Classical and Contemporary ballet techniques, learn repertory, and participate in a creative process.

Refund Policy?

Registrations are 100% Refundable up to three weeks prior to the intensive. We are unable to refund within three weeks of the intensive as the intensive will be staffed based on enrollment. We can credit your payment toward a future intensive.
